Welcome to Uilleann Wiki Uilleann Wiki has been set up as an attempt to create a well organised and easily accessible communal information resource for anyone interested in Uilleann Pipes. The intention is that this becomes a reference covering every aspect of the Uilleann Pipes. Some find the Wiki concept of open editing disturbing but this has proved immensely successful on very many sites including of course wikipedia. Learn more about Wikis here. The desire for knowledge and the desire of experienced people to share what they have learnt about this amazing instrument will hopefully lead to something that will help anyone who shares our passion. This project is open to anybody who wishes to contribute (it is in fact dependent on pipers generosity with their time and knowledge) but in an attempt to keep it focussed and also avoid spam entries only registered users may write or edit articles. For reasons of economy and simplicity Uilleann Wiki currently resides within the nwup.org website, if it proves successful it will be moved to its own domain. 27th July - Updated to a newer version of the Wiki software. |
